Corrosion Behavior of Wrought Aluminum Alloys
(1)Corrosion of Al-Mg-Si wrought aluminum alloys The domestic grade of this alloy is LD31,which corresponds to the American Aluminum Association grade 6063.This series of alloys has medium strength,good plasticity,excellent weldability and corrosion resistance.
In particular,6063 has excellent thermoplasticity,which can be processed into various parts with complex structure,thin wall and hollow,and has excellent welding performance and no stress cracking corrosion phenomenon,such as:etching film,mask plate,slit film Wait.This alloy has a very smooth surface after machining and is easy to anodize and color.This series of alloys has good texture etching properties,the surface texture of the etched alloy is uniform,and the roughness is easy to adjust,especially when the roughness is high,the texture effect is very good.
(2)Corrosion of A1-Mg-Si-Cu wrought aluminum alloys The domestic grade LD30 of this alloy corresponds to the American Aluminum Association grade 6061.This alloy is strengthened by adding Cu on the basis of 6063,so it has better strength than 6063.The etching performance of stainless steel is comparable to that of 6063,but the oxidation performance is slightly lower than that of 6063.Metal etching technology is rarely used in super-hard aluminum alloys,because the effect of etching stainless steel is not ideal,especially in the case of high roughness requirements.Worse,for further study.
For cast aluminum alloys,due to the large Si content in the alloy,the surface after texture etching is gray,and cannot be glossy treated with common chemical/electrochemical polishing methods,so it is not suitable for decorative texture etching.
But the bottom layer and coating bottom layer used for electroplating are very good pretreatment methods for improving the bonding force.If the Si content of the workpiece in the cast aluminum alloy is not high,it will have a better surface effect after texture etching.If high roughness is required,use acid-base two-step etching and brightening,and the texture effect is also good.
